Dr. Roberta Van Zant
Dr. Roberta Van Zant owns Van Zant Medical Group, S.C. in Morton Illinois. Van Zant Medical Group, S.C. is a medical practice that focuses on the care and treatment of patients via a functional medicine approach. Functional medicine is individualized medical care which focuses on identifying the root cause of illness in order to help the patient reestablish optimal health. As an osteopathic physician, she believes in treating the entire person – mind, body and spirit. She has been treating patients with Lyme disease and tick borne illnesses since 2011.
Dr. Van Zant is board certified in Family Medicine and has received additional training in functional medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Harrisburg Family Practice Residency program in Harrisburg, PA, and then was the first graduate of the Women’s Health Fellowship through the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria/Methodist Medical Center. She currently serves as a physician member on the Illinois Lyme Disease Task Force.
